Audit On Existing Product
During audit session, we had to hand over our project to another group as we took on their project. Both the teams were at the same stage with their projects, as in finalized branding, mascot, style guides and whole finished package. We all made revisions on each other’s project with only the UX research package.
The project we took on was Willo, an AI powered bugeting app. It had features like AI budget planning, AI chatbot, budget insights, wish list, and more. The following are the revisions our team made on their project with a side-by-side comparison with notes for all the edits made by me.
Understanding Willo
Product Description: Willo is an AI driven app, that helps users to budget smarter while adjusting to new spendings, needs, and goals.
What problem(s) was this product designed to solve?
It was made to solve the issues of budgeting for people who have a difficult time adapting to new spending styles, or are having a difficult time finding innovative ways to save money.
Present Features
So, the question is how to improve the functionality and user experience?
Our goal for this app was to make the app more accessible and easing the data visualization. We reduced and corrected the color palette. Made screens readable and legible. Reduced visual load for the data.

Lessons Learnt
While working on this project, I had the ability to learn how restricting it can be to work on an existing because you have to keep their brand, identity, and style guide in mind while making design decisions. It’s important to keep the identity, so that it’s not unfamiliar to the users.
Next Steps
If I had more time to work on this project, I would like to explore more ways to integrate AI into the app. If this app was to be designed in the future, when AI is more developed and stable, it will massively impact the design of the app because of the new possibilities of AI.
